Visiting Oak Park Clinic
Where are you located?
We are based at The Old Parsonage, Church Street, Crondall, Farnham, GU10 5QQ. We sit between Farnham and Fleet and are easy to reach from Hook, Aldershot, Farnborough, Odiham and Hartley Wintney. Free on-site parking is available.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 6pm. Individual practitioner availability varies, so please check the online booking system for specific appointment times.
Is there parking at the clinic?
Yes. Free on-site parking is available at The Old Parsonage. You do not need to worry about finding a space or paying for parking before your appointment.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable, loose clothing is ideal so that your practitioner can access the area being treated and assess your movement easily. For massage appointments, you will be appropriately draped throughout the session. If you are unsure, just ask when you book.
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. You are welcome to bring a friend, partner or family member to your appointment. For paediatric appointments, a parent or guardian must be present throughout. If you need a chaperone for any reason, please let us know when you book.
Booking & Fees
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online via our booking system at any time, or call us on 01252 850 800 during opening hours. We also offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation if you are not sure which treatment or practitioner is right for you.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us without a GP referral for all of our treatments. Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners and can assess and treat you independently.
Do you accept health insurance?
We work with most major insurers including AXA Health, Vitality, WPA and many more. Patients pay on the day and we provide a full invoice which you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement. The amount covered depends on your individual policy. We recommend checking the details of your cover before booking. Please note we are unable to adhere to any capped fees in place that may apply to your policy.
How do I pay?
Payment is taken on the day of your appointment. We accept card, bank transfer and cash. You will receive a full invoice by email after each session.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee. We understand things come up and will always try to be flexible where we can.
Why is the first appointment more expensive?
First appointments are longer than follow-ups, allowing time for a full case history, assessment and the start of treatment all in one session. This is essential for understanding your problem properly and building an effective care plan.
Osteopathy
What does an osteopath treat?
Osteopaths treat the whole body, not just backs. We regularly see patients with neck pain, headaches, shoulder, hip, knee and foot problems, sports injuries, pregnancy-related pain, postural pain, arthritis and much more. View all the conditions we treat.
Is osteopathy safe?
Yes. Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession in the UK. All osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and meet ongoing standards of safety and competence. Our osteopaths are fully registered and insured.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on your condition and how long you have had it. After your first appointment, we will give you a clear and honest estimate, including what to expect at each stage. We never recommend more sessions than we believe are necessary.
Is osteopathy safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Osteopathy is safe throughout pregnancy when delivered by a trained practitioner. We use only techniques that are appropriate for each stage of pregnancy. Ellie Tapper has specialist experience in pregnancy and postnatal osteopathic care.
Massage Therapy
What type of massage do I need?
Do not worry if you are not sure. Our therapists offer tailored massage sessions and will discuss the right approach for you before beginning. Many sessions combine more than one style depending on what your body needs on the day.
Can I have a massage if I have a health condition or am having cancer treatment?
In most cases yes. We offer specialist oncology massage for patients during or after cancer treatment, delivered by Kate and Bernie who are both qualified oncology massage therapists. If you are unsure whether massage is appropriate for your situation, please call us before booking and we will advise you.
Acupuncture
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable acupuncture is. The needles are extremely fine and insertion is usually barely felt. Sing Sing is known for her particularly gentle approach and is experienced in adapting treatment for those with needle anxiety.
Is acupuncture safe?
Yes. Acupuncture is safe when practised by a qualified professional. Sing Sing is fully trained and insured, registered with the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM), and uses only sterile, single-use needles.
Babies & Children
How old does my baby need to be for osteopathy?
Babies can be seen from just a few weeks old. Ellie Tapper, our paediatric and cranial osteopath, regularly works with newborns and sees babies from the first weeks of life.
Is osteopathy safe for babies?
Yes. Paediatric osteopathy uses extremely gentle, non-invasive techniques adapted for small bodies. There is no manipulation or force. Ellie works slowly and carefully, always following the baby's cues, with parents present throughout.
