Frequently asked questions

I'm looking for women's health support near Farnham or Fleet. Are you easy to get to?
Yes. Oak Park Clinic is based in Crondall, between Farnham and Fleet, with easy access from Hook, Aldershot, Farnborough and surrounding villages. We have free on-site parking and appointments available Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 6pm.
Is it safe to have osteopathy during pregnancy?
Yes. Osteopathy during pregnancy is safe and can be very effective for managing the physical changes and discomforts of pregnancy. Our practitioners are experienced in adapting treatment to each stage of pregnancy and will always work within what is appropriate and comfortable for you.
When can I start scar therapy after a C-section?
Scar therapy can usually begin once the wound is fully closed and healed, typically around 6 to 8 weeks after surgery, though this varies. Treatment is gentle, non-invasive and can make a significant difference to how the scar feels and functions, even years after surgery.
How soon after birth can I have postnatal treatment?
This depends on the type of birth and how you're feeling. For straightforward vaginal births, osteopathy can often begin within a few weeks. After a C-section, we'd usually wait until you are comfortable and mobile. We'll always discuss your individual circumstances before recommending when to begin.
Can you help with pelvic floor problems?
Yes. We take a musculoskeletal approach to pelvic floor health, assessing and treating the whole system, not just the pelvic floor in isolation. If your needs go beyond what we offer, we'll always let you know and can refer you to the right specialist.
