Will it hurt during or after my treatment?

You might experience some mild discomfort during osteopathic treatment, but it shouldn't be painful. It's important to communicate with your practitioner about your comfort level - they can adjust their techniques accordingly.

Some people may experience mild soreness for 24-48 hours after treatment, similar to how you might feel after exercise. This is called "post-treatment soreness" and is completely normal.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing varies depending on appointment type. Here is a link to our latest pricing - Click here.

What should I wear?

Anything that is comfortable and appropriate. There is no dress code, as long as you have a good range of movement in the clothing covered by the area of discomfort, as your practitioner may ask you to do some exercises.

How do I pay?

At the end of your session, your practitioner will take payment according to the appointment type delivered. We accept all major debit/credit cards and cash payments.

How soon will I feel better?

Most people notice initial improvements within 24-48 hours after treatment, once any post-treatment soreness subsides. However, for chronic conditions, it typically takes 3-4 treatments over several weeks to experience significant long-term benefits. The exact timeline varies depending on your condition, its severity, and how long you've had it. Some patients feel immediate relief during or right after the session, while others may take a few days to notice improvements.

Can I bring somebody with me?

If you would like to bring a friend or family member to support you during an appointment that is also absolutely fine. Once you are feeling comfortable they could return to reception and wait for you there (maybe even with a cup of tea), depending on what feels best for you.

Patients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Can I speak to my practitioner?

Absolutely. Our practitioners are very happy to answer any questions you may have and clarify anything you may be unsure about before, during or after your appointment. We encourage you to reach out if you have any queries at all, just call the clinic on 01252 850 800 and we can arrange a time or send us an email to info@oakparkclinic.co.uk with any questions you may have.

Can you help decide which is the best treatment?

Of course, we are here to help you every step of the way. If you're happy to discuss your symptoms, we can best advise on the most suitable treatment. Give the clinic a call on 01252 850 800 or send an email to info@oakparkclinic.co.uk with any symptoms you have.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Whilst our aim is to be as flexible as possible we do reserve the right to charge for any missed or cancelled appointments for which we were not given 24 hours notice.
