Osteopath, Daniel Cullen, is trained in Dry Needling and can use this technique during your Osteopathic appointment. Daniel will discuss this with you if he thinks it may be helpful.
Dry Needling can be used to treat painful conditions including headaches, backache and muscular pain. This technique is a western modern day adaptation of Acupuncture, based on anatomy. Daniel will insert needles into areas of painful spasm in muscles known as trigger points. This stimulates touch receptor nerves in the body, which in turn desensitise the trigger points. This is not a treatment that can be booked separately and will only be used by Daniel after discussion and consent has been given by the patient.
